An update from Smartsheet on COVID-19

Across the globe, individuals, families, communities, and businesses are adjusting to a new reality in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We extend heartfelt sympathy to anyone impacted by the virus, and sincere gratitude to the healthcare workers and organizations on the front lines of battling this unprecedented disease. We’re reaching out to update you on how Smartsheet is approaching this situation.

In an effort to most immediately support your needs, on March 6th we made available a set of Smartsheet templates that enable the creation of a COVID-19 operations dashboard. (Note: since the dashboard was based on one we created for our own use, it is optimized for US data sources) Already in use by thousands of you, the dashboard serves as an information hub and resource center for employees, and can help any organization understand and assess risks and collect data on needs or health changes in your population. We have heard from many of you how valuable these templates have been as you navigate these uncharted waters.

Needless to say, the safety and well-being of our team, partners, customers, and the communities in which we live and work is our top priority. As such, we are following guidance from local health officials and the CDC, including requiring that all employees able to do so work from home. Much of our business is already conducted digitally, but we have further stepped up our communications and virtual meeting capabilities so that our employees can communicate with customers and others, regardless of location. We also have business continuity plans in place that are designed to maintain platform availability through events such as this. As such, we are well-equipped to continue running our business, operating our platform, and supporting you, our customers.

The Smartsheet global community has long been known for its creativity, its ingenuity, and its willingness to help each other succeed. You continue to be an inspiration to us. The gravity of this situation, as unprecedented as it is, presents an opportunity for you to step up and share your experience in a big and important way. If you have an example of how you personally (managing childcare? working from home?) or your organization have used Smartsheet to address the challenges presented by the virus, please consider sharing it with the community. You never know; the use case you share could help limit the spread of the virus or literally save a life.

We are committed to ensuring that when we emerge from this, we are all prepared to flourish in the weeks, months, and years ahead. Our entire team stands ready to assist you in any way we can. In the meantime, we will continue to closely monitor this rapidly evolving situation and will be in touch as appropriate.
