Letter From our CEO Ian Brownlow regarding COVID-19

From the desk of Ian Brownlow:

To all Gemini Rosemont employees,

Our HR department sent an email to all Gemini Rosemont employees on March 12 requesting that all non-essential personnel work remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic until further notice.

Because of the ordinances issued by local and state governments, all of our offices are now under a shelter in place requirement. Therefore, if you are not already working remotely, I’m asking that all non-essential personnel work remotely, effective immediately, until further notice.

Essential employees are those who are deemed necessary to continue to keep our buildings open, including the on-site property management teams, namely property managers, assistant property managers, day porters, and engineers.

Commercial real estate is considered an essential business and therefore all of our office buildings need to remain open. In addition to having legal obligations to our tenants, many of our tenants run essential businesses, for example bio research firms and governmental agencies, and they need access to the building to perform their important work.

At many of our Gemini Rosemont managed buildings, the essential team has been divided into shifts, where possible, to minimize interactions and continue property operations. The balance of the staff is working remotely and remain fully accessible via email and phone.

Earlier this month, we engaged J.S. Held, a global consulting firm with expertise in environmental health and safety, to develop a COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan. The plan covers a variety of topics, including employee safety and an exposure response plan, among others. We have implemented this plan to help ensure that we help keep our employees, tenants, vendors and guests safe from the spread of this virus.

We encourage you to continue to follow the guidelines issued by local, state and federal health agencies to help protect you and your family from the spread of COVID-19. Here are links to two internationally respected organizations:

I want everybody to know that we are committed to doing whatever we reasonably can to make sure we serve the best interests of our employees, tenants, investors, and ultimately the company. We will continue to pro-actively conduct our business in this rapidly changing environment and keep you advised.

On behalf of the entire senior leadership team, we appreciate your dedication and contributions to the company.
